We are grateful for the opportunity to provide you with an amazing conference experience and we want to ensure you that SPFest and any venue we work with will be taking all necessary safety precautions including social distancing, sanitization and safety protocols based on the current reopening guidelines from local state health officials.
SPFest is requiring that all SPFest staff members and speakers be fully vaccinated or that a negative COVID test be provided prior to arriving at the event. SPFest strongly encourages that attendees be vaccinated and if you are not, we ask that you wear a mask and practice appropriate social distancing.
SPFest is following current CDC guidelines. Vaccinated individuals do not need to wear a mask inside McCormick Place, but may if they wish out of extra precaution. Unvaccinated individuals should wear a mask and social distance.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event.
Seating will be spaced with the recommended distance between attendees as determined by the venue.
If you have a temperature, are showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event, please stay home. SPFest will not be conducting temperature checks at the event, but again, if you don't feel well, play stay home.
Food and beverage options have been modified to minimize exposure/risk.
McCormick Place has been awarded the GBAC STAR accreditation, which is designed to assist facilities in establishing a comprehensive system of cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed inside all meeting rooms.
Nightly cleaning of meeting rooms will include all refreshed items plus disinfection of all furniture and replacement of linen. The rooms will also be vacuumed with equipment using HEPA filtration.
During event hours, cleaning team members will be patrolling the common spaces to disinfect any high-use/high-touch areas.
Products utilized have an EPA list N product with a 1-minute virus kill time.
Restrooms will be closed briefly to ensure proper cleaning multiple times each day.
Restrooms will be hygienically cleaned using Kaivac and hospital-grade disinfectant.
